Every year Bobby Beck brings home a Hope with Heart group picture.  I have in the past taken a quick look at Bobby and dutifully filed the picture away.
 
This year I took a closer look at the picture.  I looked at all of the faces.  I looked at all of your faces.  It was always there; I just didn't notice it.  The faces of the many counselors tell me that you are very serious about doing an excellent job serving the campers. The faces of you tell me of your dedication and pride in what you do and how you do it.  The faces of the campers tell me that you have accomplished your mission.  Thanks for being there for the kids.

Kristi is the mother of first-year camper Matt.  Here is what she had to say:

In the past year Matthew has been struggling with having a "special" heart/  I knew there were camps that he could attend once he was older but he needed something now.  In doing some research online I stumbled across Hope With Heart.  While I was nervous, sending my precious 7-year-old away from home for the first time, Matt was excited.  We counted the days since his application was approved and finally the day arrived.  Matt couldn't wait for us to leave so his camp experience could begin.  He had the BEST week.  He is already talking about next year and even becoming a counselor!  In all his jabbering about camp, heart problems are never mentioned.  I can't thank you enough for providing a place for him to be "normal" and t o see that he is not alone.
